86^th I C A R Foundation Day - 16th July, 2014

Institute wish to celebrate the 85^th anniversary of the foundation of ICAR on 16^th July 2014 by sharing some of the interesting and fascinating milestones achieved by IIHR. To commemorate the day, the Institute organises an ‘Open House’ for the public to get acquainted with the activities and achievements of the premier institute. An exhibition show casing the latest varieties and technologies released from the Institute will be arranged on the occasion. Scientists and other staff of the organisation will facilitate the visit of farmers, entrepreneurs, students and the general public.

A meeting commemorating the ICAR Foundation Day will be held at IIHR, Hessaraghatta, Bengaluru on 16 July (Wednesday) 2014. Dr. Ramakrishna Param, Professor and Head, Division of Soil Sciences, UAS, GKVK, Bengaluru will deliver the ‘ICAR Foundation Day lecture’ on “Conservation Horticulture and Soil health management”.

Technology transfer agreements with selected entrepreneurs will be signed on this occasion. Selected growers who adopted and disseminated IIHR technologies and products will also be honoured on the occasion.
