ICAR-IIHR Library, established in 1968, has evolved over the years into a modern e-library equipped with advanced facilities including Wi-Fi, high-speed internet, LAN, barcoding, online reprography, and CCTV monitoring.
The library has a separate computer pool exclusively for students and visitors for immediate access to digital resources. The Consortium for e-Resources in Agriculture (CeRA) under NAIP provides online access to e-journals and resources. Presently, more than 2700 national and international journals are accessible under CeRA.
ICAR-IIHR was awarded the Best Usage of J-Gate @ CeRA Award (Southern Region) consecutively for the years 2019 and 2020.
The library has a large collection of books on horticulture and related disciplines. All records including books, journals, periodicals, issue dates and receipt dates are maintained and updated using Library Management Software.
ICAR-IIHR library also subscribes to Indiastat Agri , which provides statistical data related to agriculture and horticulture.

Current Subscriptions (2023–24)
During the year 2023–24, the library has subscriptions to 15 Indian journals. A special collection of Acta Horticulturae, published by the International Society of Horticultural Science, Belgium, is a unique resource available in the ICAR-IIHR Library.
