Research Accomplishments
• Identification of phenotypically stable superior cassava clones 8S501 and CR 43-7 with high drought tolerance
• Identification of the profuse flowering clones CI-130, FB-1 and CI-448 with high number of female flowers and high per cent fruit set in crosses
• Standardizing the gamma irradiation dose of varieties Sree Jaya and H-226 of cassava and identification mutants with high yield; dry matter, yellow tuber flesh and profuse flowering
• Popularizing and distributing the planting material of the cassava variety of Sree Raksha and Micronol - a micronutrient formulation of cassava and elephant foot yam along with customized fertilizers in East Godavari and West Godavari district of Andhra-Pradesh through Scheduled Caste Sub-Plan
