MANGO
- In pre-bearing mango orchards, vegetative parameters were found to be significant among different mango varieties.
- Maximum plant height, girth and plant spread were recorded with ArkaPuneeth and least was with Amrapali.
- In respect of inter-crops, significant differences were observed in pod yield and maximum pod yield per plot and pod yield per hectare was with Tur followed by Dolichos and Cow-pea.
ANNONA
- Inter-cropping trial with seed spices (Fennel, coriander, fenugreek, ajwain, cumin and nigella) in annona pre-bearing orchards indicated maximum seed yield in coriander followed by fenugreek. Ajwain and fennel are yet to be harvested since these seed spices are of long duration.
