A Demonstration on Avocado was conducted on 14 December 2025 under Ainthinai Project at Karmadurai Hills, Tamil Nadu. Dr. T. K. Behera, Director, ICAR–IIHR, briefed the the importance. Followed by field visit wherein cultivation aspect class was taken by PI of the project Dr. R. Senthil Kumar, Principal Scientist and In-charge Head, Division of Social Sciences and Training.. All the farmers were distributed 50 ARKA supreme avocado plants for cultivation in their own field. Director visited the construction site where the avocado processing unit going to be established in collaboration with Tamil Nadu Tribal Department. A total of 50 farmers participated in the programme.
