19 Nov 2025

The 11th Indian Horticulture Congress – 2025 and International Meet on Horticulture for Inclusive, Equitable and Sustainable Growth was held from 6th to 9th November 2025 at UAS, GKVK, Bengaluru.

ICAR–Indian Institute of Horticultural Research (IIHR) actively participated in the exhibition organized as part of the event. The exhibition provided an excellent platform for the Institute to showcase its farmer-friendly technologies through live specimens and products. The ICAR–IIHR stall attracted around 1,500 visitors, including representatives from various ICAR Institutes.

The exhibition stall featured displays on fruits, vegetables, ornamental crops, and technologies related to integrated crop and pest management, post-harvest handling, mushroom production, and other innovations promoted by ATIC.

The programme was coordinated by the Division of Social Sciences and Training, ICAR–IIHR. Under the Ainthinai (TN–TSP) initiative, a stall was also set up with the participation of two Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) — one from Javvadhu Hills (Trichy District) and another from Kalvarayan Hills (Kallakurichi District). A total of 290 farmers associated with the SCSP project participated in the programme.

Each beneficiary received jackfruit and avocado plants, AMC, Citrus Special, and a seed kit as part of the distribution programme.

The ICAR–IIHR stall was adjudged the “Best Stall” of the exhibition, recognizing its comprehensive and impactful display.
