Developed molecular markers like SSRs, SCARs, CAPs in chilli, eggplant, anthurium, ridge gourd, linkage maps in anthurium, watermelon; Population structure in muskmelon; Validation of SSR markers in peas and beans. Successfully isolated resistance gene analogs in eggplant. Mitochondrial DNA from Chilli and onion and sequenced by using Illumina. Handling the NGS data, mined SSRs and SNPs, validated. Published 70 international and national papers in a peer reviewed journals. Started working on genome editing in capsicum to develop fruit rot resistance in capsicum, Powdery mildew resistance in grapes
