Day two of the NHF2021 had the three technical sessions for the zones comprising Zone-I (Punjab, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh), Zone-II (Rajasthan, Haryana & Delhi) and Zone-III (Uttar Pradesh). In all the sessions the subject matter experts from ICAR institutes and ICAR-ATARIs addressed the problems of the respective zones related to horticulture crops. The ICAR-AICRP Centres, KVKs, FPOs, SHGs joined the sessions in virtual mode. In the session III, a progressive farmer and entrepreneur from Allahabad Shri. Sudhir Kumar Maurya, who is using the ICAR-IIHR technology, Arka Fermented Coco peat at his nursery was conferred with Best Farmer Award. A large number of farmers and the students participated in the event and visited the demonstration plots and the exhibition stalls. They also purchased institute products, seeds and planting materials.
