Dr. Muniraju S. B., Deputy Adviser, NITI Aayog, Government of India, visited ICAR-IIHR, Bengaluru on 3rd March 2026. He was received by Dr. TusharKanti Behera, Director, ICAR-IIHR.

Dr. Muniraju toured the Agricultural Technology Information Centre (ATIC) and BESST-HORT, interacting with in-charges regarding technologies developed by the institute. Discussions covered benefits from IIHR technologies, entrepreneurial support mechanisms, commercialization processes, and marketing strategies.

An interaction programme was organized with Director, Nodal Officers of SCSP and TSP projects, and project team members. Dr. Muniraju reviewed how SCSP/TSP farmers benefit from the institute's interventions and assured support for approving a new project proposal. He suggested submitting a proposal focusing on welfare of differently-abled farmers. An input distribution programme for SCSP beneficiaries was also organized at Nelamangala.
