Refresher Training Programme on Advanced Techniques in Modern Vegetable Cultivation was held at CHES-IIHR, Bhubaneswar
A two-day Refresher Training Programme on “Advanced Techniques in Modern Vegetable Cultivation” for Subject Matter Specialists (Horticulture) of 25 KVKs under OUAT was held during 25th-26th November 2025 at the Central Horticultural Experiment Station (CHES), ICAR–IIHR, Bhubaneswar. The programme was jointly organised by the Directorate of Extension Education (DEE), OUAT and CHES-IIHR, Bhubaneswar. The inaugural session was graced by Dr. Prasanjit Mishra, Dean, Extension Education, OUAT, Bhubaneswar, who attended as the Chief Guest. In his address, Dr. Mishra highlighted the crucial role of modern technologies in meeting the rising demand for safe, high-quality vegetables and emphasized the need for continuous capacity building of field-level extension personnel. He appreciated CHES, Bhubaneswar for organising the programme with a strong practical orientation and urged participants to adopt and disseminate advanced, climate-smart cultivation practices to farmers across Odisha. Dr. G. C. Acharya and Dr. A. V. V. Koundinya coordinated the training programme with the help of Mr. Bishnu Charan Patra, Mr. A. Anilkumar and Ms. L. Sahoo. The training was concluded with certificate distribution to the participants
