• Dormancy in kalmegh (Andrographis paniculata) appears to be due to impermeability of seed coat for oxygen and this dormancy could be overcome by subjecting the seeds for high temperature stratification at 40 0C for 6 days in case of fresh seeds and 3 days in case of 3-month-old seeds (Table 2).
