Training programme cum exposure visit during National Horticulture Fair 2025 organized by ICAR-IIHR under AINTHINAI project.
The ICAR-IIHR organized on campus training program on Custard apple processing and value addition and exposure visit to the selected tribal beneficiaries of Jawadhu hills of Tiruvannamalai Dt, Karumandurai Hills of Salem dist and Pachamalai hills of Trichy dist of Tamil Nadu during National Horticulture Fair-2025 held at Bengaluru. This program was organized under Ainthinai Mission sponsored by Directorate of Tribal Welfare, Govt of Tamil Nadu on Feb 28 and March 1 2025. Dr. R. Senthil Kumar, Principal Scientist narrated the objectives and importance of the training and delivered lectures about soil health and its management for successful cultivation of fruit crops. Dr V. Sankar, Principal Scientist and and Coordinator of the programme explained about significance of ICAR-IIHR improved vegetable technologies for increasing the income of the tribal farmers. Dr T Sakthivel Principal Scientist delivered lectures about custard apple (Arka Sahan) production, processing and value addition.
